Savoring the Diversity of Chinese Cuisine

To further promote the Chinese culinary culture and meet the diverse dining needs of UnionPay cardholders, China UnionPay has partnered with DiningCity to launch the new " Taste the elegance of the East " UnionPay card benefits. This initiative brings together numerous high-end Chinese restaurants and those with distinctive Eastern features to create a series of cost-effective, exclusive customized set-menu dealsf or UnionPay cardholders. Cardholders of UnionPay premium cards can also enjoy additional benefits such as priority reservation privileges, deeply experiencing the charm of high-end Chinese dining culture.

As the prelude to the annual series of dining benefits, the first phase of " Taste the elegance of the East " UnionPay card benefits will be launched for a limited time on July 11th. The meticulously curated gourmet feast gathers over 200 restaurants across nine cities: Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Chengdu, Xi'an, and Xiamen. It includes star-rated hotels, Michelin, and Black Pearl high-end restaurants, showcasing authentic Chinese cuisine and exquisite dishes that integrate Chinese elements in one place. Renowned Chinese chefs and up-and-coming international chefs are invited to create a menu primarily based on China's traditional "Eight Great Cuisines," supplemented by cuisines from other Asian regions such as Japan, Korea, India, Vietnam, and Thailand. Diners can enjoy the true taste of Cantonese cuisine, the spicy excitement of Sichuan cuisine, and the exquisite elegance of Huaiyang cuisine, as well as new Chinese-style dishes that blend characteristics from various countries. While inheriting the essence of Chinese cuisine, it encourages diverse innovation, injecting new vitality into Chinese food culture. The "Inheritance + Innovation" format helps UnionPay cardholders to "taste exquisite cuisine and enjoy a colorful culture" for an immersive dining experience.

The " Taste the elegance of the East " UnionPay card benefits include exclusive customized meal packages at three levels, with lunch prices at 198+ RMB per person, 148-178 RMB per person, and 108-128 RMB per person; dinner prices at 368+ RMB per person, 288-328 RMB per person, and 188-228 RMB per person. UnionPay cardholders can choose to dine at restaurants of different levels according to their own needs. Some restaurants also support health meals with low salt, low fat, and low sugar, barrier-free access, and menu explanations to ensure that elderly customers can also enjoy a comfortable and thoughtful service experience.

Starting at 10 am on July 8th, UnionPay premium cardholders (UnionPay Diamond and Platinum cards) can make reservations in advance through the "Benefits Selection" - "Premium Card Benefits" - "Splendid Taste of the East" channel in the QuickPass APP or the WeChat public account "UnionPay Card Official Service Number" - "Benefits Selection" - "UnionPay Card Benefits" - "Premium Card Benefits" - "Splendid Taste of the East." Other UnionPay cardholders can make reservations from 10 am on July 10th through the above channels or on the DiningCity app, website, or mini-program.

In the future, China UnionPay and DiningCity will continue to cooperate to launch a series of dining benefits, including buffets and afternoon tea at star-rated hotels and preferred restaurant reservations in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, to provide richer benefits services for UnionPay cardholders, promote the heritage of Chinese food culture, and enhance the brand awareness.
